The First Aid Course for Babies and Children will cover all the following topics: Baby Resuscitation: Learn what to do if your baby stopped breathing or was choking. Plenty of time will be given to questions and practice on manikins giving participants confidence and reassurance. A must for parents, ante or post-natal and anyone looking after children. A handout will be supplied as well.Childhood illness and accidents: First aid and the initial steps to follow in a range of emergency siuations are covered, such as if a child suddenly became unwell, was injured, ingested a poisonous substance, had a fit, meningitis or a head injury. This section will include tips to help you feel more confident in caring for your child when they have minor illnesses, will help you to know what is in your medicine cabinet, how to recognise signs and symptoms and when and where to seek medical advice. Booklets are given out of information covered.
